Satan's plan (never changes)

Praise God for the start of a brand new year, filled with His promises and our hope. As I was just on my way back from the shop I felt the Lord impress upon me to repost the video below 'satan's plan'.

We had a time of testimony this morning in Church, a time of thanking God for getting us through the previous year. So as I shared I also felt led to remind my fellow saints that satan the adversary is as rampant as ever and so let us all take stock and be watchful as he continues to try and kill, steal and destroy in our lives, our families, our communities and our churches (John 10 vs. 10). Let us fight the good fight and keep spiritually as well as intellectually steadfast and strong, after all we are warned in. 1 Peter 5:8-11 Amplified Bible (AMP):

8Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [[a]in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.
9Withstand him; be firm in faith [against his onset--rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined], knowing that the same ([b]identical) sufferings are appointed to your brotherhood (the whole body of Christians) throughout the world.
10And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace [Who imparts all blessing and favor], Who has called you to His [own] eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will Himself complete and make you what you ought to be, establish and ground you securely, and strengthen, and settle you.
11To Him be the dominion (power, authority, rule) forever and ever. Amen (so be it).

I pray that 2012 is a great year for you all and that as vs. 10 states, you will be established, grounded securely, strengthened and settled in Christ. However, let us not be fooled, we are going to have to fight and take back the territory that the enemy has stolen. This refers to spiritual and not natural war. The greatest thing to remember is that you are starting from a place of victory in Christ Jesus.

I know that in 2011 I became slack with certain disciplines within my spiritual life and so have felt the call to start 2012 in a time of prayer and fasting. Some strongholds will not be removed from our lives without prayer and fasting (Matthew 17 vs. 20 - 21). What is God saying to you? Remember it is possible to be used by God whilst struggling or even failing in other areas of your life and so it is even more important that you hear the direction of God for your spiritual life this year and base your position not on works, but on fruit.

Not every thing that glitters is gold the saying goes, test the spirit in all things, make love your priority and shun evil wherever it raises its ugly head.

May God bless and strengthen you throughout 2012 as you grow, develop and allow yourself to be used by God for His glory

Love Brother Don

'but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good.'
